Robert Mapplethorpe’s flowers in their frames, together with Kyouka Kanayama’s original “aroma” art, will send a wave of revelation echoing through visitors.
A total of 24 photographs, 13 color and 11 monochrome, from Kyouka Kanayama’s private Mapplethorpe collection will be on exhibition. Included in this rare collection is “rose,” one of only three existing prints in the world. In addition, several prints not included even in the photo book “Flowers”will be on display in Japan for the first time ever. |
